On Tuesday, Dallas trailed by 20 points after one quarter and missed 17 of 22 three-point attempts during a 120-111 road loss against Phoenix.

Naji Marshall led all scorers with 31 points on a 12-for-17 shooting performance in 36 minutes off the Dallas bench. Cooper Flagg converted 11-of-14 free-throw attempts and finished with 27 points. P.J. Washington added 13 points and five boards for the Mavericks, who fell to a dismal 5-18 on the road.

Lakers Preview

The Los Angeles Lakers are four games above .500 at home and are tied with Minnesota for fifth place in the Western Conference standings. The Lakers (32-21) rank seventh in the league in offensive efficiency and are scoring a shade below 116 points per contest. On Tuesday, Los Angeles was torched for 84 points during the first half of an ugly 136-108 home loss versus San Antonio.

Drew Timme and Luke Kennard led five Los Angeles players in double figures with 14 points each. Jaxson Hayes scored 13 points (6-7 FG) in 17 minutes of action. Bronny James added 12 points and six assists off the bench for the Lakers, who allowed the Spurs to shoot a sizzling 57 percent from the field.
