On Thursday, Houston erased a ten-point halftime deficit to earn a 113-108 road victory against Orlando.

All-Star F Kevin Durant poured in a game-high 40 points on 14-for-28 shooting and grabbed eight rebounds. Reed Sheppard scored 20 points (5-7 3PT) in 31 minutes off the Houston bench. All-Star C Alperen Sengun added 16 points, six rebounds, and five assists for the Rockets.

Heat Preview

The Miami Heat have won 17 of their first 28 home games and trail Orlando by a game for seventh place in the Eastern Conference standings. The Heat (31-29) rank sixth in the league in defensive efficiency and are allowing 117.2 points per contest. On Thursday, Miami was outscored by 15 points during the second quarter of a 124-117 road loss against Philadelphia.

Miami F/C Bam Adebayo led all scorers with 29 points on 10-for-20 shooting and secured 14 boards. Tyler Herro scored 25 points on 9-for-18 from the floor in 32 minutes off the bench. Jaime Jaquez Jr. added 19 points and four rebounds for the Heat, who connected on 17-for-40 from long distance.
