Pacers Preview

The Barclays Center will play host to a Thursday night NBA clash between the Indiana Pacers and the Brooklyn Nets. For other NBA action see our NBA Predictions. The Pacers (18-61) have dropped 33 of 40 road games and own the second worst overall record in the NBA. On Tuesday, Indiana was outscored by 15 points during the third quarter of a 124-104 home loss versus Minnesota.

Ethan Thompson converted 8-of-10 from the free-throw line and led six Indiana players in double figures with 17 points. Obit Toppin and Jalen Slawson scored 14 points each on a combined 10-for-20 shooting effort in a reserve role. Jarace Walker added 11 points, six rebounds, and five assists for the Pacers.

Nets Preview

The Brooklyn Nets are 16 games below .500 at home and are heading into the offseason with plenty of cap space. The Nets (20-59) must address an offensive attack that ranks last in the league in efficiency and is averaging a measly 106.1 points. On Tuesday, Brooklyn knocked down 21-of-23 from the charity stripe and made the plays down the stretch to earn a 96-90 home victory versus Milwaukee.

Brooklyn F E.J. Liddell led all scorers with 21 points on 7-for-9 shooting and pulled down four boards. Ben Saraf contributed 19 points (9-10 FT), five rebounds, and two steals. Malachi Smith and Drake Powell added 11 points apiece for the Nets, who were outrebounded by a 44-32 margin.

Indiana G Tyrese Haliburton (Achilles) participated in 5-on-5 work and is expected to be ready for the start of next season.
