The Heat (38-30) have won seven of their last ten games and are a half-game out of sixth place in the Eastern Conference standings. On Saturday, Miami trailed by 14 points after one quarter and missed 26 of 38 three-point attempts during a 121-117 home loss versus Orlando.

Jaime Jaquez Jr. led seven Miami players in double figures with 22 points (9-16 FG) and seven assists off the bench. Bam Adebayo and Norman Powell scored 20 points each on a combined 13-for-30 shooting effort. Kel’el Ware added 13 points and ten rebounds for the Heat, who fell to 23-12 at home.

Hornets Preview

The Charlotte Hornets are three games below .500 at home and are sitting in tenth place in the Eastern Conference standings. The Hornets (34-34) rank tenth in the league in offensive efficiency and are scoring 115.5 points per contest. On Saturday, Charlotte missed 36 of 54 three-point attempts and shot just 38 percent overall during a 115-102 road loss against San Antonio.

Athletic F Miles Bridges paced Charlotte with 22 points on 8-for-16 shooting and pulled down four boards. Rookie G Kon Knueppel scored 20 points on 6-for-14 shooting and secured six rebounds. Coby White added 18 points in 26 minutes off the bench for the Hornets.
