The Heat (39-34) have split their previous ten games and are clinging to a half-game lead for eighth place in the Eastern Conference standings. On Wednesday, Miami built a 17-point halftime advantage and shot 52 percent from the field during a 120-103 road victory against Cleveland.

All-Star G Norman Powell led a balanced Miami scoring attack with 19 points on 7-for-12 shooting. Tyler Herro knocked down half of his eight three-point attempts and finished with 18 points. Bam Adebayo added 17 points, ten rebounds, and seven assists for the Heat.

Cavaliers Preview

The Cleveland Cavaliers have won 23 of their first 37 home games and are sitting in fourth place in the Eastern Conference standings. The Cavaliers (45-28) rank sixth in the league in offensive efficiency and are averaging 119 points per contest. During Wednesday’s home loss, Cleveland missed 25 of 37 three-point attempts and shot 43 percent from the field.

All-Star G Donovan Mitchell tallied a game-high 28 points (12-22 FG), six rebounds, and four assists. James Harden and Sam Merrill scored 18 points apiece for Cleveland on a combined 10-for-23 shooting effort. Keon Ellis added 17 points for the Cavaliers, who converted 21-of-24 free-throw attempts.
