The Heat (15-13) have dropped nine of their first 14 road games and trail Orlando by a half-game for sixth place in the Eastern Conference standings. On Friday, Miami was torched for 71 points during the second half of a 129-116 road loss against Boston.

All five Miami starters scored in double figures and were led by Kel’el Ware with 24 points. Norman Powell missed 11 of 12 three-point attempts and finished with 18 points. Bam Adebayo added 16 points and ten rebounds for the Heat, who shot 39 percent from the field.

Knicks Preview

The New York Knicks have won 13 of their first 15 home games and are two games back of Detroit for the top spot in the Eastern Conference. The Knicks (19-8) rank second in the league in offensive efficiency and are averaging 120.2 points per contest. On Friday, New York was outscored by 11 points in the second half of a 116-107 home loss versus Philadelphia.

All-Stars Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns led New York with 22 points apiece on an inefficient 14-for-37 shooting effort. Mikal Bridges added 21 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. Mitchell Robinson scored 21 points in 26 minutes off the bench for the Knicks.
