Timberwolves Preview

The Wednesday NBA schedule will get underway with a matchup between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Orlando Magic from the Kia Center. For other NBA action see our NBA Predictions. The Timberwolves (47-32) are five games above .500 on the road and hold a 3.5 game lead over Phoenix for sixth place in the Western Conference standings. Last night, Minnesota outscored Indiana by 15 points in the third quarter to pull away for a 124-104 road victory.

Minnesota G Ayo Dosunmu tallied a game-high 24 points (10-17 FG), five rebounds, and three steals. Julius Randle chipped in 19 points on 5-for-13 shooting and dropped four dimes. Naz Reid added 17 points (7-10 FG) in 24 minutes off the bench for the Timberwolves, who shot 52 percent from the field.

Magic Preview

The Orlando Magic have won 24 of their 39 home games and are just a half-game out of sixth place in the Eastern Conference standings. The Magic (43-36) rank in the middle of the pack in defensive efficiency and are giving up 115.2 points per contest. On Monday, Orlando built a 14-point halftime advantage and cruised to a 123-107 home victory versus Detroit.

Former number one overall draft pick Paolo Banchero converted all ten free-throw attempts and led all scorers with 31 points. Orlando G Desmond Bane scored 25 points on 9-for-17 from the field. Jalen Suggs added 12 points and 12 assists for the Magic, who connected on 11-for-26 from long range.

Timberwolves vs Magic Pick

Minnesota G Anthony Edwards (knee) did not suit up last night and his status for this game is uncertain. The Magic are fighting to avoid the Play-In Tournament, while the Timberwolves are sitting comfortably in their playoff position. Take Orlando to win and cover as a small home favorite. Final Score Prediction, Orlando Magic win 117-109.
