New Orleans Pelicans vs Memphis Grizzlies Picks and Prediction for Monday, November 2, 2026
Memphis has had a busy opening stretch, and so far, nobody has found a way to beat the Grizzlies. Their latest win came Saturday, when they handled Sacramento 136-105 to move to 6-0. Memphis leads the Southwest Division and sits first in the Western Conference. New Orleans comes to town at 2-4, fifth in the Southwest and 11th in the West, after beating Atlanta 121-99 for its second straight victory. Monday's game starts at 8:00 PM ET at FedExForum and will be shown on NBA League Pass. Check out our free NBA picks.
New Orleans Pelicans
New Orleans probably wishes it could forget its two meetings with Denver. The Pelicans lost the first in overtime, then scored only 91 points when the Nuggets came to town four days later. But the last two games have been much better. New Orleans put 132 on Sacramento and followed that with 121 against Atlanta. Zion Williamson has been getting good looks around the basket, shooting 64.6% while averaging 21.8 points. Dejounte Murray has helped with 17.8 points and six assists per game.
The Pelicans have also given opponents plenty of chances to score. Denver put up 141 in their overtime meeting, and Sacramento reached 120 even though New Orleans won. Saturday was different, with Atlanta held to 99. That was the first time the Pelicans had kept an opponent below 100 this season. New Orleans still allows 117.8 points per game, and Derik Queen's 7.8 rebounds will be important against a Memphis team that does well on the boards. Williamson also averages 3.2 steals.
Injuries: Jordan Poole and Dejounte Murray are questionable. Yves Missi is out.

Memphis Grizzlies
Memphis has had a few close calls, but nobody has beaten the Grizzlies yet. Golden State came within three points, and Utah lost by five. The last two games have been easier. Memphis won 124-103 at Portland before returning home to beat Sacramento by 31. Ty Jerome is averaging 25.8 points and 5.8 assists, while Cameron Boozer has contributed 15.4 points and 6.2 assists. The Grizzlies are scoring 118.2 points per game, and their recent results suggest there's room for even more.
The Grizzlies have been particularly good at collecting rebounds. Boozer averages 10.8, Zach Edey adds 7.3, and Memphis pulls down 50.8 per game. New Orleans averages only 43.0, which could become a problem if the Pelicans miss shots early. Memphis has also kept its last five opponents at 112 points or fewer. The Grizzlies allow 106 points per game, considerably better than New Orleans, and Edey contributes 1.5 blocks.
Injuries: Quinten Post, Scotty Pippen Jr. and Ty Jerome are questionable.
New Orleans Pelicans vs Memphis Grizzlies Prediction
New Orleans has looked much better since its difficult start, but Memphis presents a different challenge from Sacramento and Atlanta. The Grizzlies have been winning close games and comfortable ones, and their rebounding could cause trouble for the Pelicans. Williamson gives New Orleans a chance to stay competitive, though Memphis has been harder to score against. Final Score Prediction: Memphis Grizzlies win and cover ATS, 124-112.
