Knicks Preview

The Monday NBA schedule will get underway with a matchup between the New York Knicks and the Atlanta Hawks from State Farm Arena. For other NBA action see our NBA Predictions. The Knicks (50-28) have won seven of their last ten games and are clinging to a one-game lead over Cleveland for third place in the Eastern Conference standings. On Friday, New York raced out to a 22-point advantage after one quarter and shot 53 percent from the field during a 136-96 home victory versus Chicago.

New York F OG Anunoby led all scorers with 32 points on 9-for-15 shooting and grabbed eight rebounds. Mitchell Robinson converted all seven field goal attempts and finished with 17 points. All-Star G Jalen Brunson added 17 points and ten assists for the Knicks, who improved to 28-9 at home.

Hawks Preview

The Atlanta Hawks have won 18 of their last 20 games and have moved into fifth place in the Eastern Conference standings. The Hawks (45-33) rank ninth in the league in defensive efficiency and are giving up 115.9 points per contest. On Friday, Atlanta connected on 20 of 39 three-point attempts and shot a sizzling 57 percent overall during a 141-107 road triumph against Brooklyn.

Veteran G C.J. McCollum led all scorers with 25 points on 8-for-12 shooting and dished out seven assists. Atlanta G Nickeil Alexander-Walker chipped in 21 points (8-16 FG) and four rebounds. All-Star F Jalen Johnson added 18 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists for the Hawks.

Knicks vs Hawks Pick

New York F/C Karl-Anthony Towns (elbow) did not play in Friday’s victory and is listed as day-to-day.
