In Game Two, New York missed ten of 27 free-throw attempts and shot 45 percent from the field during a disappointing 107-106 home loss.

All-Star G Jalen Brunson led six New York players in double figures with 29 points (10-26 FG) and seven assists. All-Star F/C Karl-Anthony Towns scored 18 points on 8-for-12 shooting and grabbed eight rebounds. Josh Hart added 15 points, 13 rebounds, and six assists for the Knicks.

Hawks Preview

The Atlanta Hawks won 20 of 26 games to close the regular season and flourished after dealing Trae Young to Washington. The sixth-seeded Hawks ranked 14th in the league in defensive efficiency and allowed 116 points per contest. During Monday’s road victory, Atlanta outscored New York 28-15 in the fourth quarter to even the series at one game apiece.

Atlanta G C.J. McCollum led all scorers with 32 points on 12-for-22 shooting and dished out six assists. Jonathan Kuminga scored 19 points on 7-for-12 shooting in 35 minutes off the bench. All-Star F Jalen Johnson added 17 points (6-12 FG) and eight rebounds for the Hawks.
