The Knicks (2-2) currently rank ninth in the league in defensive efficiency for first-year head coach Mike Brown and are in search of their first NBA Championship since 1973. On Tuesday, New York was outscored by 22 points during the second half of a 121-111 road loss against Milwaukee.

All-Star G Jalen Brunson led New York with 36 points on a 14-for-25 shooting performance. Mikal Bridges scored 24 points to go along with 11 rebounds and six assists. All-Star F/C Karl-Anthony Towns added eight points (2-12 FG) and 12 rebounds for the Knicks, who missed 27 of 40 three-point attempts.

Bulls Preview

The Chicago Bulls dealt Zach LaVine to Sacramento in the offseason and are committed to playing an uptempo style with their younger players. The Bulls (4-0) are much improved on defense and are limiting the opposition to 111.3 points per contest for veteran head coach Billy Donovan. On Wednesday, Chicago outscored Sacramento by 12 points during the third quarter to pull away for a 126-113 home victory.

Second-year pro Matas Buzelis led a balanced Chicago scoring attack with 27 points (11-18 FG) and five rebounds. Josh Giddey contributed 20 points (7-14 FG), 12 assists, and eight rebounds. Veteran C Nikola Vucevic added 13 points and 14 rebounds for the Bulls, who shot 54 percent from the field.
