The Knicks (37-21) are two games above .500 on the road and are a game back of Boston for second place in the Eastern Conference standings. On Sunday, New York held Chicago to 40 percent shooting to earn a 105-99 road victory.

All-Star F/C Karl-Anthony Towns notched his league-leading 39th double-double of the season with 28 points (10-17 FG) and 11 rebounds. All-Star G Jalen Brunson chipped in 19 points (7-19 FG) and nine assists. Landry Shamet added 16 points off the bench for the Knicks.

Cavaliers Preview

The Cleveland Cavaliers have won eight of their previous ten games and have moved within a game of New York for third place in the Eastern Conference standings. The Cavaliers (36-22) rank fifth in the league in offensive efficiency and are averaging a shade below 120 points per contest. On Sunday, Cleveland missed 26 of 39 three-point attempts and turned the ball over 17 times during a 121-113 road loss against Oklahoma City.

All-Star guards Donovan Mitchell and James Harden combined for 40 points on a combined 17-for-33 shooting effort. Sam Merrill knocked down 6-for-10 from the three-point line and finished with 20 points off the Cleveland bench. Jarrett Allen added 11 points and 13 rebounds for the Cavaliers, who fell to 17-11 on the road.
