The Knicks (18-7) are riding a five-game winning streak and trail Detroit by 2.5 games for the top spot in the Eastern Conference. On Tuesday, New York stormed back from an 11-point deficit to defeat San Antonio in the NBA Cup Championship by a 124-113 final score.

New York F OG Anunoby led all scorers with 28 points on 10-for-17 shooting and grabbed nine rebounds. All-Star G Jalen Brunson scored 25 points and was named NBA Cup MVP. All-Star F/C Karl-Anthony Towns added 16 points and 11 rebounds for the Knicks, who dominated the Spurs on the glass by a 59-42 margin.

Pacers Preview

The Indiana Pacers have eliminated the Knicks from the playoffs in consecutive seasons, but find themselves near the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings. The Pacers (6-20) rank last in the league in offensive efficiency and are scoring a measly 110.2 points per contest. Last time out, Indiana shot an ice cold 37 percent from the field during an ugly 108-89 home loss versus Washington.

Bennedict Mathurin converted all eight free-throw attempts and led five Indiana players in double figures with 15 points. Jay Huff scored 13 points to go along with four rebounds and four blocks. Isaiah Jackson added 11 points and 12 rebounds off the bench for the Pacers, who fell to 5-9 at home.
