All five Orlando starters scored in double figures and were led by Desmond Bane with 31 points (12-17 FG). All-Star F Paolo Banchero contributed 28 points (9-18 FG), 12 rebounds, and five assists. Wendell Carter Jr. added 18 points and 12 rebounds for the Magic.

The Washington Wizards have dropped 12 of their first 17 home games and own the second worst overall record in the Eastern Conference. The Wizards (9-25) rank near the bottom of the league in defensive efficiency and are surrendering 124.4 points per contest. On Sunday, Washington allowed Minnesota to shoot 56 percent from the field during an ugly 141-115 home loss.

Veteran G C.J. McCollum led four Washington players in double figures with 20 points on 8-for-12 from the floor. Corey Kispert scored 13 points on 4-for-8 shooting in 18 minutes off the bench. Tre Johnson added 13 points and three assists for the Wizards, who were clobbered on the glass by a 51-35 margin.
