Seven-time All-Star Joel Embiid played in just 19 games last year and if he can double that then the 76ers could be dangerous in a watered down Eastern Conference. Number three overall draft pick V.J. Edgecombe has been opening eyes with his athleticism and will be exciting to watch from day one.
Celtics Preview
The Boston Celtics captured their 18th NBA Championship in 2024 and have reached the playoffs in 11 consecutive years. The Celtics (61-21) will be hard pressed to duplicate their recent playoff success after losing All-Star F Jayson Tatum to a torn righty Achilles tendon. Boston moved on from veterans Jrue Holiday, Kristaps Porzingis and Al Horford in the offseason.
All-Star G Jaylen Brown will be the focal point of the Boston offensive attack and G Payton Pritchard will take on an increased scoring role. Derrick White provides plenty of versatility and newly acquired G Anferenee Simons could flourish for the Celtics.
