The 76ers (43-35) are four games above .500 on the road and trail Atlanta by a half-game for fifth place in the Eastern Conference standings. On Saturday, Philadelphia managed just 33 points during the second half of a 116-93 home loss versus Detroit.

All-Star G Tyrese Maxey led all scorers with 23 points on 8-for-17 shooting and finished with a minus 27 rating. Philadelphia G/F Paul George scored 20 points to go along with five rebounds and four assists. Rookie G V.J. Edgecombe added 19 points and six rebounds for the 76ers.

Spurs Preview

The San Antonio Spurs have won 29 of their first 36 home games and trail Oklahoma City by 2.5 games for the top spot in the Western Conference. The Spurs (59-19) rank third in the league in defensive efficiency and are limiting opponents to 111.5 points per contest. On Saturday, San Antonio had no answer for three-time MVP Nikola Jokic (40 points) during a 136-134 overtime loss at Denver.

All-Star F/C Victor Wembanyama tallied a team-high 34 points (16-17 FT), 18 rebounds, seven assists, and five blocks. Rookie of the Year Stephon Castle scored 20 points on 9-for-17 shooting and dished out nine assists. Devin Vassell and Justin Champagnie added 18 points apiece for the Spurs.
