Phoenix Suns vs Golden State Warriors Picks and Prediction for Monday November 2 2026

By: Kim Smith Published 11/02/2026, 12:15 AM ET

Phoenix already beat Golden State once this season. Won 131-122 at home on October 24.

But the Warriors have been playing better since then, and now the Suns have to go into Chase Center.

The thing is, Golden State’s injury report is getting crowded. Jimmy Butler is out, Moses Moody is out, and Kristaps Porzingis is unavailable. That’s a lot of missing help.

So I’m not looking at this as an easy Warriors win. I think Phoenix can make it uncomfortable.

The Suns visit Chase Center in San Francisco on Monday, November 2, with tipoff at 10 PM ET. Golden State hosts the Clippers on Sunday, so the Warriors will be playing their second game in two nights. Phoenix has had more time to prepare. I couldn’t verify a current sportsbook spread or total, so I’m taking Phoenix on the moneyline and using a target total. Get in on the NBA action with our free NBA picks.

Phoenix Suns Need to Play Better Defense

Phoenix is 1-3 after Friday’s 127-120 loss to Denver. The Suns beat Golden State 131-122 earlier in the season, but they haven’t been able to build on that result. They’ve been scoring enough in stretches, yet the defense keeps letting them down.

The Suns have been averaging about 112 points while allowing more than 124. That’s a pretty ugly defensive number. They’re shooting around 47 percent from the field, but the three-point shooting has been inconsistent. Phoenix needs to do a better job closing out on shooters and finishing possessions with rebounds. Golden State has enough outside shooting to make the Suns pay if they leave people open.

Devin Booker is still the player Phoenix needs to lean on when the offense gets stuck. He can create his own shot, get to the line and make defenses pay for mistakes. Jalen Green gives the Suns another scoring option, but the team needs more consistency around those two. Mark Williams is out after shoulder surgery, and Oso Ighodaro has been dealing with an oblique injury. Those frontcourt concerns matter against a Warriors team that can move the ball and attack mismatches.

Golden State Warriors Have Been Finding Ways to Win

Golden State enters Sunday’s Clippers game at 3-3. The Warriors started 0-3, then won three straight, including a 112-95 victory over the Lakers Friday. That was a wild one. Golden State trailed by 25 and came back to win by 17. That’s a 42-point swing.

The Warriors have been averaging around 117 points and allowing about 115. They’re shooting better than 37 percent from three, and that’s where they can hurt Phoenix. The Suns have been giving up too many clean looks, and Golden State has enough shooters to make them regret it. But the Warriors have also been turning the ball over too often, averaging more than 17 giveaways. That’s something Phoenix can take advantage of.

Stephen Curry scored 31 points against the Lakers and made eight three-pointers. Brandin Podziemski added 21, while De’Anthony Melton scored 16 off the bench. Those performances helped Golden State overcome the injuries. But Butler, Moody and Porzingis remain out, while Gui Santos has been dealing with a knee problem. Curry is still dangerous, but Golden State is asking a lot of its remaining rotation, especially with another game Sunday.

Phoenix Suns vs Golden State Warriors Picks and Prediction

Phoenix Suns Moneyline

I’m taking Phoenix. Golden State has been playing better, and Curry could make this pick look foolish in about five minutes if he starts hitting threes. I know that. But Phoenix already beat the Warriors once, and Golden State is missing several important players. The Warriors also have to play the Clippers Sunday before facing the Suns. I think Booker and Green can attack a tired defense and make enough plays late. Give me Phoenix to win a close one.

Over 224.5 Points — Target Total

I’ll look Over 224.5 if that’s the number available. Phoenix has been allowing more than 124 points a game, and Golden State has enough outside shooting to take advantage. The Suns scored 131 in the first meeting, so we know they can put points on the board against this defense. The danger is Golden State running out of energy or missing too many players to keep the offense moving. But I think both teams get into the 110s. Something like Phoenix 118-114 works for me.

Final Picks: Phoenix Suns Moneyline and Over 224.5 Points (target total)
