The Rockets return home after a 121-95 win over Sacramento and have looked sharp outside of a single slip in Utah. Alperen Sengun remains the anchor of Houston’s attack with 23.1 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 7.1 assists, giving the Rockets a reliable playmaker in the half-court. Kevin Durant has been scoring efficiently at 49.3 percent from the field and continues to add playmaking, which has helped stabilize the offense. Houston’s 49.8 rebounds per game and 9.4 steals per game have helped carry them to an 8-2 run.

Phoenix comes in off a 125-108 win over the Lakers, but the Suns recently dropped games to Denver and Oklahoma City and still need better defensive games to compete with Houston’s scoring. The Suns score 117.0 points on 47 percent shooting, but they also allow 113.7 points, which has been a problem against better offenses. Grayson Allen and Isaiah Livers are both questionable, and Booker remains out until mid-December, which leaves a noticeable lack of scoring. Phoenix does create turnovers at a high rate with 10.9 steals per game, yet the Suns have not shown enough consistency against the better teams in the league.
