Sacramento Kings vs Memphis Grizzlies Picks and Predictions for Saturday October 31 2026
Memphis is 5-0. Sacramento is 0-5.
And these teams already played once this season. Memphis won 123-112 in Sacramento.
I could probably stop there, order another drink and tell you to take the Grizzlies. But there’s a little more to it than that. Sacramento has been giving up too many points, and Memphis has been getting production from players who weren’t exactly household names a year ago.
The Kings visit FedExForum in Memphis on Saturday, October 31, with tipoff at 8 PM ET. The sportsbook spread and total weren’t confirmed in the information I checked. I like Memphis to win, and I think the game has a chance to get Over a reasonable total. Get ready for all of the NBA action with our free NBA picks.

Sacramento Kings Haven’t Found a Win Yet
Sacramento is 0-5. The Kings lost 132-120 to New Orleans Thursday, and that came after defeats to San Antonio, Memphis and other Western Conference opponents. They’re scoring enough to stay competitive in stretches, but they haven’t been defending well enough to finish games.
The Kings allowed 123 to Memphis in the first meeting. They also gave up 130 to San Antonio and 132 to New Orleans. That’s three games where the opponent reached at least 123. You aren’t going to win much basketball that way. Sacramento needs to do a better job stopping penetration and keeping opponents from getting second chances. Memphis already showed it can exploit those problems.
The injuries aren’t helping. Keegan Murray is out with an ankle injury, Ben Simmons is sidelined for the season with an Achilles injury, and both Dylan Cardwell and Maxime Raynaud are unavailable. That’s a lot of missing size and versatility. Sacramento needs more from its remaining rotation players, particularly on defense. The Kings have enough offensive talent to score 110 or 115, but that’s not much use if the other team gets 125.
Memphis Grizzlies Are Doing a Lot Right
Memphis is 5-0 and has already beaten Sacramento once. The Grizzlies won 123-112 on October 25, then went into Portland Thursday and won 124-103. That’s a strong road performance against a team that had been scoring well. Memphis didn’t just win. It controlled the game.
The Grizzlies have been getting good offensive production without sacrificing their defense. Holding Portland to 103 was impressive, especially after the Trail Blazers had scored 124 or more in their first three games. Memphis has also been creating extra possessions through rebounding and defensive pressure. Against Sacramento, that’s a big advantage. The Kings have been giving up too many easy looks.
Ty Jerome scored 31 points in the first meeting with Sacramento, and that’s the kind of performance that makes me comfortable backing Memphis again. The Grizzlies have been getting scoring from several players, and the latest injury report doesn’t list any major absences. That’s a nice situation for a team that’s already playing well. Sacramento can’t match that level of health or consistency right now.
Sacramento Kings vs Memphis Grizzlies Picks and Predictions
Memphis Grizzlies Moneyline
I’m taking Memphis. Sacramento could finally win a game Saturday, and I wouldn’t pretend an 0-5 team is incapable of beating anybody. But the Grizzlies already won this matchup by 11, they’re playing at home, and they’re coming off a 21-point road win over Portland. Sacramento has been allowing too many points and is missing several important players. I don’t see a good reason to go against Memphis until somebody proves it can stop them.
Over 228.5 Points — Target Total
I’d look Over 228.5 if that number becomes available. The first meeting finished with 235 points, and Sacramento has been involved in several high-scoring games. The Kings just played a 252-point game against New Orleans. Memphis has been defending better, so that’s the concern. The Grizzlies could slow things down and keep Sacramento near 100. But I think the Kings can contribute enough offense to make this interesting. Something like 124-110 Memphis gets us over.
Final Picks: Memphis Grizzlies Moneyline and Over 228.5 Points (target total)
