The Monday NBA playoff schedule will get started with a battle between the Toronto Raptors and the Cleveland Cavaliers from Rocket Arena. For other NBA action see our NBA Predictions. The fifth-seeded Raptors increased their win total by 16 from last year and are looking to win their first playoff game since 2022. In the series opener, Toronto was outscored by 14 points during the third quarter of a 126-113 road loss.

R.J. Barrett led five Toronto players in double figures with 24 points on 7-for-13 shooting. All-Star F Scottie Barnes scored 21 points (6-14 FG) and dished out seven assists. Brandon Ingram and Jamal Shead added 17 points each for the Raptors, who connected on 13-of-27 from long distance.

Cavaliers Preview

The Cleveland Cavaliers have been eliminated in the second round of the playoffs in consecutive years and have the potential to make a deep run. The fourth-seeded Cavaliers ranked fifth in the league in offensive efficiency and averaged a shade below 120 points per contest. During Saturday’s home victory, Cleveland knocked down half of their 32 three-point attempts and shot 54 percent overall.

All-Star G Donovan Mitchell led all scorers with 32 points on 11-for-20 shooting and dropped four dimes. Max Strus scored 24 points (8-10 FG) in 24 minutes off the Cleveland bench. All-Star G James Harden contributed 22 points (8-18 FG), ten assists, and two steals for the Cavaliers.
