Toronto Raptors vs Denver Nuggets Picks and Prediction for Wednesday November 4 2026
Toronto heads into Denver on Wednesday night for a 9 PM ET game against the Nuggets at Ball Arena. The Raptors are coming off a 125-118 win over the Clippers, while Denver just lost 118-110 at home to Portland. That’s an interesting spot for the Nuggets. They’ve already dropped two of their first three home games, and now they’re facing a Toronto team that just put together a huge fourth-quarter comeback. At the time of this writing, the betting odds were not released. Check out our free NBA picks for more predictions.
Toronto Raptors Have Been Finding Ways to Score
Toronto is 4-3 after beating the Clippers on Monday, and that was quite a comeback. The Raptors were down 13 heading into the fourth quarter, then scored 47 points over the final 12 minutes. You don’t see that every night. They also put up 125 against the Lakers on Sunday, although they lost that one 131-125. The offense has been doing its share of the work lately.
What I like about Toronto is that the Raptors aren’t afraid to push the ball and attack when they see an opening. They’ve scored at least 114 points in five of their seven games, and that could give Denver some trouble. The Nuggets just allowed Portland to score 118 in their own building. Toronto has enough offensive ability to take advantage if Denver gives up those same kinds of looks.
The problem is inside. Jakob Poeltl missed Monday’s game with a shoulder injury, and his availability remains uncertain. That’s not ideal when you’re heading into a matchup with Nikola Jokic. Toronto needs somebody who can make life uncomfortable around the basket, and losing a regular frontcourt presence makes that job harder. Scottie Barnes has been terrific, averaging around 24 points per game, but the Raptors can’t expect him to handle everything.

Denver Nuggets Need to Take Care of Business at Home
Denver is 3-3, including a 1-2 record at Ball Arena. That’s not the kind of start you’d expect from a team that went 28-13 at home last season. The Nuggets had just beaten Phoenix 127-120 before Portland came into town Monday and handed them another loss. Denver has been getting enough offense to win games. Keeping opponents from doing the same has been a different story.
Jamal Murray scored 35 against Portland, and Jokic added 26 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists. That’s 61 points from your two main guys, and Denver still lost. You can blame missed shots or a bad stretch here and there, but at some point, the Nuggets need more help defensively. They can’t keep expecting those two to carry everything.
Still, this is a matchup where I like Denver’s chances of getting back on track. Toronto has been giving up points, and the Raptors could be short-handed around the basket. Jokic is a difficult assignment even when you’ve got everybody available. If Denver gets its offense working through him and makes Toronto defend in the half court, the Nuggets should find plenty of opportunities.
Toronto Raptors vs Denver Nuggets Picks and Prediction
Moneyline Pick: Denver Nuggets
I’m going with Denver. I know the Nuggets haven’t been great at home, and Toronto just pulled off a pretty impressive comeback. But I keep coming back to the matchup inside. If Poeltl can’t play, who’s keeping Jokic from getting whatever he wants? Even if Poeltl returns, that’s still a difficult assignment. Murray has been scoring well, too, and I don’t see Toronto getting enough stops to win another high-scoring road game. The Raptors will make this interesting, but I’ll take Denver to get back above .500.
Total Pick: Over — Pending Posted Line
I’m leaning over here. Toronto has scored 125 in each of its last two games, and Denver just played consecutive games that finished with 247 and 228 combined points. Neither defense has been particularly convincing lately. The Raptors like to get moving, and Denver has enough offensive talent to keep up. The only thing that concerns me is the Nuggets deciding to slow everything down and work through Jokic in the half court. Even then, I think both teams can score. I’d look at the over once the sportsbooks post a reasonable number.
