Toronto Raptors vs Minnesota Timberwolves Picks and Predictions for Sunday October 25 2026
Toronto and Minnesota have both started 2-0, so at least one unbeaten record is disappearing Sunday. The Raptors have been getting results, but Minnesota at home is a different test. I think the Timberwolves have a little more to offer defensively, and that matters when both teams are still figuring out what works early in the season. Toronto visits Minnesota at Target Center in Minneapolis on Sunday, October 25, 2026. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 PM ET on NBA TV. An early market listing has Toronto favored by 1.5 points, with the total at 225.5. Those prices are not yet broadly confirmed.
Toronto Raptors Have Started Well
Toronto enters at 2-0 after winning its first two games. That’s a good start, especially for a team trying to establish some consistency. The Raptors have been able to score enough to overcome defensive lapses, but Sunday brings a tougher road assignment.
Toronto’s offense has benefited from getting the ball moving and finding opportunities before defenses settle. That approach can work against Minnesota, but the Raptors can’t afford careless possessions. The Timberwolves are capable of turning defensive stops into quick points.

The question for Toronto is whether its defense travels. Winning two games doesn’t tell us everything about a team. The Raptors need to defend the paint and finish possessions with rebounds. Minnesota is going to test both.
Minnesota Timberwolves Get an Early Home Test
Minnesota is also 2-0, and the Timberwolves have a chance to build on that start at home. They’ve been able to win without needing every possession to look pretty. That’s something I like about a team this early in the season.
Minnesota has the size and defensive ability to make Toronto work. The Timberwolves should be able to contest shots around the basket and keep the Raptors from getting comfortable. Their offense doesn’t have to be spectacular if they’re controlling the glass.
I expect Minnesota to treat this as a chance to establish itself against another unbeaten team. The Raptors can certainly win, but the Timberwolves have the home floor and enough defensive tools to make things difficult.
Toronto Raptors vs Minnesota Timberwolves Picks and Predictions
Minnesota Timberwolves +1.5
I’ll take Minnesota getting 1.5 points. Both teams are 2-0, and I don’t see enough separation to make Toronto a road favorite I’d want to back. The Timberwolves have the home advantage and should be able to make this a physical game. If Minnesota is available at +1.5 or better, that’s my side.
Under 225.5
I’m leaning under 225.5. Minnesota should be trying to control the pace, and Toronto isn’t going to get easy baskets all night if the Timberwolves defend the way they’re capable of defending. The concern is that both teams are feeling good offensively and this turns into a faster game. I’ll still take the under at 225.5 or higher.
Final Picks: Minnesota Timberwolves +1.5 or better and Under 225.5 or higher
