Raptors Preview

The Smoothie King Center will play host to a Wednesday night NBA clash between the Toronto Raptors and the New Orleans Pelicans. For other NBA action see our NBA Predictions. The Raptors (36-28) have dropped six of their previous ten games and are tied with Miami for fifth place in the Eastern Conference standings. Last night, Toronto missed 27 of 36 three-point attempts during a 113-99 road loss against Houston.

R.J. Barrett led Toronto with 25 points on 10-for-18 shooting and pulled down six boards. All-Star F Scottie Barnes converted half of his 16 field goal attempts and finished with 24 points. Immanuel Quickley added 12 points and six assists for the Raptors, who fell to 19-12 on the road.

Pelicans Preview

The New Orleans Pelicans have won six of their last ten games and own the third worst record in the Western Conference. The Pelicans (21-45) rank near the bottom of the league in defensive efficiency and are surrendering 120.2 points per contest. On Sunday, New Orleans scored 30 plus points in each quarter and shot 53 percent from the field during a 138-118 home victory versus Washington.

New Orleans F Trey Murphy III tallied a game-high 24 points (7-14 FG), five rebounds, and four assists. Saddiq Bey chipped in 23 points on 9-for-17 shooting and grabbed ten rebounds. Zion Williamson added 20 points for the Pelicans, who improved to 12-21 at home.

Raptors vs Pelicans Pick

Toronto C Jakob Poeltl did not suit up last night due to an illness and is listed as questionable for this game. These two teams are pretty even statistically on offense and in the rebounding department. Take the rested Pelicans to win outright as a small home underdog. Final Score Prediction, New Orleans Pelicans win 118-112.
