The Jazz (18-39) have dropped 21 of their first 28 road games and have assembled enough talent to begin competing for a playoff berth in the next couple of years. On Friday, Utah was outscored by 21 points during the second half of a 123-114 road loss against Memphis.

Utah G Isaiah Collier tallied a game-high 24 points (9-16 FG), five assists, and four steals. Rookie G Ace Bailey and F Kyle Filipowski scored 20 points apiece on a combined 17-for-32 shooting effort. The Jazz committed 24 turnovers and shot 49 percent from the field.

Rockets Preview

The Houston Rockets have won 18 of their first 25 home games and trail Denver by one game for third place in the Western Conference standings. The Rockets (34-21) rank fifth in the league in defensive efficiency and are allowing a shade below 110 points per contest. On Saturday, Houston was unable to protect an 18-point fourth quarter lead during a 108-106 road loss against New York.

All-Star F Kevin Durant led all scorers with 30 points on 10-for-26 shooting and pulled down six boards. Houston F Jabari Smith Jr. nailed half of his eight three-point attempts and finished with 21 points. All-Star C Alperen Sengun added 16 points, six rebounds, and six assists for the Rockets.
