On Tuesday, Washington missed 21 of 31 three-point attempts and committed 20 turnovers during a 119-98 road loss against Atlanta.

Will Riley led four Washington players in double figures with 18 points (7-8 FG) in 29 minutes off the bench. Jamir Watkins and Justin Champagnie scored 14 points each on a combined 11-for-16 shooting effort. Kyshawn George added 11 points for the Wizards, who shot 44 percent from the field.

Hawks Preview

The Atlanta Hawks have split their previous ten games and hold a half-game lead over Charlotte for ninth place in the Eastern Conference standings. The Hawks (29-31) rank in the middle of the pack in defensive efficiency and are giving up 117 points per game. During Tuesday’s home victory, Atlanta raced out to a 15-point advantage after one quarter and dominated Washington on the glass by a 61-41 margin.

Jonathan Kuminga tallied a game-high 27 points (9-12 FG), seven rebounds, and four assists off the Atlanta bench. Nickel Alexander-Walker knocked down 3-for-7 from long range and finished with 16 points. Onyeka Okongwu added ten points and ten rebounds for the Hawks, who improved to 12-16 at home.
