The Wizards (16-47) are in the midst of an eight-game losing streak and own the second worst record in the Eastern Conference. On Sunday, Washington allowed New Orleans to shoot 53 percent from the field during a 138-118 road loss.

Tre Johnson led Washington with 20 points on 7-for-13 shooting and pulled down four boards. Will Riley scored 19 points on 8-for-12 from the field in 25 minutes off the bench. Trae Young added 17 points (3-5 3PT) and eight assists in his second appearance for the Wizards.

Heat Preview

The Miami Heat are riding a five-game winning streak and are tied with Orlando for sixth place in the Eastern Conference standings. The Heat (36-29) rank fourth in the league in defensive efficiency and are allowing 116.5 points per contest. On Sunday, Miami raced out to an 18-point lead after one quarter and converted 23 of 25 free-throw attempts during a 121-110 home victory versus Detroit.

Tyler Herro led six Miami players in double figures with 25 points (8-16 FG) and six rebounds. Bam Adebayo contributed 24 points (7-17 FG), nine rebounds, and six assists. Jaime Jaquez Jr. added 19 points and seven assists in a reserve role for the Heat, who improved to 21-11 at home.
