Oilers Outlook
Edmonton sits at 13-11-5 overall and 7-3-2 at home, and the offensive upside is no secret. The Oilers average 3.31 goals per game and give up 3.45, playing in plenty of high-event contests. Connor McDavid leads the team with 42 points (14G, 28A), once again operating at a near-MVP level, while Leon Draisaitl has 17 goals and continues to be one of the league’s most dangerous power-play forwards. Edmonton’s power play, at a scorching 33.3%, is among the very best in the NHL, and that alone tilts a lot of close matchups in their favour. In goal, Stuart Skinner (2.86 GAA, .889 SV%) has rebounded from a rocky start and stabilised things somewhat, while Calvin Pickard provides depth but remains a step down if forced into extended duty.
