Colorado Avalanche vs Nashville Predators Picks and Predictions for Sunday October 25 2026
Colorado is the better team, but Nashville has a goaltender capable of making things uncomfortable. That’s what makes this game interesting. The Avalanche can score in bunches, and the Predators have had trouble putting together complete performances. Still, Colorado is laying a fairly heavy price on the road. I think the Avalanche win, but the total might offer a better opportunity.
Colorado visits Nashville at Bridgestone Arena on Sunday, October 25, 2026. The puck drops at 8:00 PM ET. The Avalanche are listed around -203 on the moneyline, with Nashville at +178. My preferred total is Over 5.5 at -120 or better, or Over 6 if that becomes the more attractive market. Get ready for all the NHL action this season with our free NHL picks.
Colorado Avalanche Have the Offensive Advantage
Colorado enters at 5-4-1. The Avalanche haven’t been as consistent as they’d like, but the offensive ability is still there. They’ve shown they can create chances quickly and turn a close game into a comfortable lead.
Colorado’s speed is difficult to handle when the Avalanche are moving the puck well. Nashville needs to keep them out of transition, because giving Colorado room through the neutral zone is asking for trouble.

The concern is Colorado’s defensive consistency. The Avalanche have had stretches where they’ve given up too many quality chances, and Nashville has enough offensive ability to take advantage. Colorado needs a cleaner game in its own end.
Nashville Predators Need a Complete Performance
Nashville enters at 3-3-3 and has been difficult to figure out. The Predators have enough talent to compete, but they haven’t consistently turned decent performances into wins.
Nashville needs to slow Colorado down. The Predators can’t afford to trade chances with the Avalanche for three periods. They need to win battles along the boards, keep the puck away from dangerous areas, and get timely saves.
The biggest advantage Nashville has is its ability to get strong goaltending. If the Predators get that Sunday, they can stay close. But they’re also playing on consecutive nights, and that makes the assignment harder.
Colorado Avalanche vs Nashville Predators Picks and Predictions
Colorado Avalanche Moneyline -203
I’m taking Colorado, although I don’t love laying -203 on the road. The Avalanche have the better offense and should be able to take advantage of Nashville playing its second game in two nights. The Predators can absolutely steal this if their goaltender has a big night. But over 60 minutes, I trust Colorado to create more quality chances. I’d take the Avalanche at -205 or better.
Over 5.5 Goals
I’ll take the over at 5.5 if the price is -120 or better. Colorado can score three or four goals against just about anybody, and Nashville should have some opportunities against an Avalanche defense that hasn’t been completely reliable. Strong goaltending could spoil this, but I like the chances of a 4-2 or 4-3 Colorado win.
Final Picks: Colorado Avalanche Moneyline -203 and Over 5.5 Goals at -120 or better
