Minnesota Wild vs Vancouver Canucks Picks and Predictions for Sunday October 25 2026
Minnesota has been playing good hockey, and Vancouver hasn’t. Sometimes that’s enough to make a decision, although the Wild have one thing working against them Sunday. They’re playing their second game in two nights. Vancouver is struggling badly, but the Canucks are at home and should have a little more energy. I still think Minnesota is the better side.
The Wild visit the Canucks at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, on Sunday, October 25, 2026. The puck drops at 10:00 PM ET. Minnesota is listed around -194 on the moneyline, with Vancouver at +170. My preferred total is Over 5.5 at -120 or better. Get ready for all the NHL action this season with our free NHL picks.
Minnesota Wild Have Been Winning Games
Minnesota enters the weekend at 6-3-2. The Wild have been getting results and have enough offensive depth to make life difficult for Vancouver. They’ve also received solid early-season goaltending.
Minnesota has been able to generate chances without abandoning its defensive responsibilities. That’s important against a Vancouver team that has struggled to keep opponents from scoring.

The concern is the schedule. Minnesota plays Seattle on Saturday before traveling to Vancouver for Sunday’s game. That’s not an easy turnaround, especially this early in the season. The Wild need to manage their energy and avoid giving Vancouver an early lead.
Vancouver Canucks Need Something Positive
Vancouver comes in at 2-9-1. That’s a terrible start, and the Canucks have had difficulty finding answers. They’ve struggled defensively and haven’t been getting enough consistent offense to overcome those problems.
The Canucks need to keep Minnesota from getting comfortable. If the Wild start moving the puck freely and creating chances around the net, Vancouver could be in for another long night.
The home crowd might help, and Minnesota’s back-to-back schedule gives Vancouver a chance. But the Canucks have to prove they can defend well enough to win. So far, that hasn’t happened often.
Minnesota Wild vs Vancouver Canucks Picks and Predictions
Minnesota Wild Moneyline -194
I’m taking Minnesota at -194. I don’t particularly like laying nearly two dollars with a road team playing on consecutive nights, but Vancouver has been too unreliable to trust. The Wild have more offensive options and have been getting better results. The Canucks could catch Minnesota tired, and that’s the obvious danger. Still, I’d rather back the team that’s been playing winning hockey. Take Minnesota at -195 or better.
Over 5.5 Goals
I’ll take the over at 5.5 if the price is -120 or better. Vancouver has struggled defensively, and Minnesota should be able to create scoring chances. The Wild could also be a little slower defensively after Saturday’s game, which gives the Canucks opportunities. The risk is Vancouver failing to contribute enough offense. But I think Minnesota can score four, and Vancouver should be capable of adding two.
Final Picks: Minnesota Wild Moneyline -194 and Over 5.5 Goals at -120 or better
