Vegas continues to be one of the strongest defensive teams in the NHL, allowing just 2.86 goals per game and only 25 shots against, one of the league’s lowest totals. Akira Schmid has been excellent with a 2.35 GAA and keeps Vegas competitive even in tight, low-event games.

Offensively, Jack Eichel and Tomas Hertl are carrying the attack, and the Golden Knights have picked up points in nine straight games, including wins over New York and New Jersey.
Philadelphia, meanwhile, has been inconsistent. While strong at home, their offense stalls against elite defensive teams, and the Flyers have alternated wins and losses over their last several games.

Leg 2 – Ottawa Senators vs Columbus Blue Jackets
Ottawa is struggling defensively, giving up 3.31 goals per game and owning a 70.7% penalty kill, one of the worst in the league. They’ve also dropped four of their last five and continue to leak scoring chances.
Columbus, on the other hand, is far more reliable at home (6–3–3) and gets stronger goaltending from Jet Greaves (2.74 GAA, .906 SV%). The Jackets generate more shots, defend better, and have the stronger special teams unit.
