Rookie Macklin Celebrini continues to lead the offense with 18 points on seven goals and 11 assists, including four power-play points. The Sharks are averaging 3.23 goals per game but have struggled to contain opponents, allowing 4.00 goals against per night. Goaltending remains an issue, as Yaroslav Askarov holds a 4.29 goals-against average and .867 save percentage, while Alex Nedeljkovic has been slightly steadier at 3.29 and .895. Injuries are still a factor with William Eklund day-to-day and several veterans on injured reserve, forcing younger skaters into larger roles. San Jose’s special teams sit near league average with a 20.5% power-play rate, but the penalty kill has been a problem, killing just 67.5% of opposing chances.

Seattle comes in at 6-2-4 overall and remains unbeaten in regulation on home ice. The Kraken have points in four of the last five, capped by a 3-1 win over Chicago. Joey Daccord has solidified the crease, going 6-1-3 with a 2.53 GAA and .910 save percentage, giving the Kraken consistent goaltending that’s kept them competitive in close games. Offensively, Jordan Eberle leads with 10 points (five goals, five assists), while Jaden Schwartz has chipped in six assists and provides stability on the second line. Seattle’s defense has held opponents to just 2.67 goals per game and ranks top 10 in shots against at 28.5 per contest. The power play has been effective at 23.5%, and the penalty kill sits at 71%, a mark that should improve with Jared McCann nearing his return from injured reserve.
Kraken vs Sharks Prediction
Seattle’s balance between defensive play and effective goaltending makes it a difficult home opponent. San Jose’s inconsistent netminding and weak penalty kill create a challenging matchup against a Kraken team that can win close games with strong goaltending. The Sharks have shown fight lately, but will need exceptional goaltending to steal points in this one.
