Both these teams are rolling. The Wings are off a 4-0 victory and have won four of their past five. The lone loss came at Edmonton and they were playing their second game in two days. The Islanders are even hotter. They've won three straight and six of seven. The lone loss came in game at Florida and they, too, were playing their second game in two days. Both teams are well-rested for this one. I'm going to give the “motivational edge” to the Wings. They haven't forgotten this season's two lopsided losses to the Islanders, or that the Isles embarrassed them 5-0 in the game here. While the Wings won't have Kane, their goalie is red hot. Gibson was 3-0-0 last week with a 1.00 goals-against average and .971 save percentage. LGRW
