It is likely to be 44-year-old Philip Rivers making the start, as he was signed out of retirement this week. Because of this, Pierce’s receiving yards prop is set at 28.5, which I believe is too low. Pierce has recorded at least 36 receiving yards in 12 of his last 13 games and at least 67 yards in 8 of his last 10 games.

The Indianapolis Colts have unraveled after a promising start, dropping three straight and losing Daniel Jones for the season. In response, the team signed Philip Rivers out of retirement, but all signs point to Riley Leonard getting the start after taking the bulk of practice reps. Brett Rypien has been elevated from the practice squad as insurance, but no matter who lines up under center, the Colts are walking into a bad matchup at a bad time.

Seattle, meanwhile, is surging. The Seahawks entered halftime tied 6-6 with Atlanta last week and still exploded for 31 second-half points in a dominant 37-9 win. Despite committing multiple turnovers, they intercepted Kirk Cousins twice and completely controlled the game, another testament to what Mike MacDonald has built on both sides of the ball.

The Seahawks now sit at 10-3 overall and 10-3 ATS, consistently rewarding bettors and proving they can handle business as favorites, a role they’ll assume for the 11th time this season. With the Colts scrambling for answers and severely limited offensively, the gap in firepower is hard to ignore.

Seattle is rolling, Indianapolis is reeling, and this one sets up perfectly for another Seahawks runaway victory.

San Francisco comes off a bye, a spot where they’ve thrived, winning their last three post-bye openers by a combined 79-39. They enter on a three-game win streak and sit 8-5 ATS, consistently rewarding backers. Expect a heavy dose of Christian McCaffrey, who’s averaged 19 carries, 5.3 catches and 337 total yards over his last three games. When Brock Purdy avoids turnovers, this offense is extremely difficult to slow down.

Tennessee, meanwhile, is fresh off just its second win of the season, making this a prime letdown spot. Even in victory, Cam Ward threw for only 117 yards at 50% completion, and the offense relied almost entirely on Tony Pollard’s 161 rushing yards. That won’t come easy against a 49ers defense that has allowed only four opponents all year to top 100 rushing yards.

If the Titans can’t run, the game falls on Ward’s shoulders, and that’s a matchup San Francisco will gladly take.

New England is coming off a late-season bye as the Patriots are still riding a ten-game winning streak. Buffalo earned a come-from-behind home win over the Bengals last week in snowy upstate New York. Josh Allen re-introduced his name into the MVP conversation with one of his best performances in the last few months. Allen went 22-of-28 for 251 yards with three touchdowns, plus 78 more on the ground. It's been talked about all season, but now that the Patriots have hit their bye week and you can provide some proper context, New England's schedule has simply been dreadful. Since that first win over the Bills, the Patriots have played the Saints, Titans, Browns, Falcons, Jets, Giants and Bengals (without Joe Burrow). At 7-6, Tampa Bay is the only team the Patriots have beaten with a winning record over the last nine weeks. That's not New England's fault, but we have to side with Buffalo in this rematch. The Bills held some notable advantages in the box score in the first meeting, and Allen found some mojo in the snow last week against the Bengals.

Depending on your risk tolerance, I'm going to give you two options for this pick: to either play straight up on the money line, or to lay what I feel is a reasonable mid-sized price for the extra 1.5 goals of insurance.

I see this game going to extra periods, so I will lay the slightly higher juice for the puckline option, but I do also like Seattle as a live dog here on the road to win outright as well.

Two options here, as I say, depending on your risk tolerance.

Seattle is 12-10-6 overall, including 5-5-3 straight up on the road, but the Kraken have been consistently competitive as the visitors, going 9-4 on the puckline.

Utah's great start is now in the rear-view mirror as it enters 14-15-3 overall, but 7-5-1 at home. The Mammoth, though, are just 5-8 on the puckline at home.

Seattle just snapped a six-game slide with an important 3-2 overtime win at home over LA most recently, while Utah dropped its third straight at home to Florida on Wednesday.

I had the Panthers as a client pick in that contest. And now I expect the Mammoth to stumble again here against Seattle as they get caught looking ahead to a difficult upcoming Eastern road trip with games at Pittsburgh, Boston, and Detroit.

Overall, Seattle averages 2.5 goals per game, while allowing 2.9, while Utah averages 3.0 goals per game, while allowing 2.9.

Joey Daccord is scheduled between the pipes for the Kraken, and he's 8-7-4 with a 2.93 goals against average, while Karel Vejmelka is 12-9-2 with a 2.2 GAA for the Mammoth.

I think Seattle has much more than just a "puncher's chance" in this one. I like the way this one sets up situationally for the KRAKEN and think they offer great value, either to win outright, or on the PUCKLINE option.

A week later, they nearly stunned the Bills in a snowy thriller, falling just short in a 39-34 heartbreaker that effectively dashed their faint playoff chances and could leave some emotional hangover.

Baltimore, reeling from that Thanksgiving setback, then suffered another defeat to Pittsburgh over the weekend. Despite that, the Ravens maintained a notable advantage in several advanced stats from the prior matchup. Cincinnati might be without star receiver Tee Higgins, who's back in concussion protocol. Bengals supporters had held out hope for defensive end Trey Hendrickson's comeback, but those dreams are dashed after his season-ending core muscle surgery this week.
