Now Carroll gets another crack at Taj Bradley who he's gone 3-6 against with two home runs and 4 RBI. Bradley was sharp in the early season, but he's allowed 4+ earned runs in four straight outings while registering a 7.47 ERA across 3 June starts. Bradley's ERA is nearly a run higher when he pitches on the road and current Diamondback sluggers are batting .308 against him with 3 home runs in only 29 plate appearances. Neither bullpen has been very reliable as the Twins rank dead last in ERA on the season (5.18) and 26th in both ERA & WHIP during the last 30 days. Chase Field is a hitter's park and I'm expecting a high scoring game with tons of HRR opportunities.

Pitching Matchup: Connelly Early/Emerson Hancock [Action].

Losing with the Mariners last night wasn't good. But, I do like Seattle once again tonight and this should be a perfect spot to bounce back. Both guys had trouble in their last outings, but I definitely have been more impressed with Hancock this season. The Mariners have also been the much better team this year. Go with SEA.

Arizona is the right side because they’re simply a different team at Chase Field, now 24–15 at home after last night’s win, while Minnesota continues to struggle on the road at 16–22. Zac Gallen has always been a true home‑park arm, and even though his road numbers are ugly this season, he’s been steady in Phoenix with a 3.65 ERA in seven home starts and a long‑term track record that backs it up — 41–25 with a 3.31 ERA in 92 career starts at Chase Field. Taj Bradley has been serviceable on the road at 4.39 ERA, but he’s been hit hard in this building, going 0–1 with a 9.00 ERA in two career starts here. Minnesota allows 5.74 runs per game on the road, while the Diamondbacks give up just 4.14 per game at home, and Arizona’s bullpen has been more reliable in this park. With the home/road splits lining up cleanly, Gallen back in his best environment, and the Twins continuing to underperform away from Target Field, Arizona holds the matchup edge again.

The Pirates are actually 0-6 in Paul Skenes' previous six starts. That's pretty shocking. Skenes hasn't allowed more than 2 ER in any of the last four starts and his numbers for the season (2.85 ERA, 0.93 WHIP & 2.68 FIP) remain excellent. In fact, he's top five in both WHIP and FIP among qualified starters.

While the Pirates dropped the series opener last night at Coors Field (4-3), the odds here certainly seem to suggest they'll bounce back tonight with a win. I think it's worth betting Skenes to record a win as him pitching well & the team winning are definitely correlated. In betting Skenes to record a win, the price is a lot more palpable than betting the Pirates ML.

Skenes should certainly have no problem mowing down a Rockies lineup that he's already faced once this year. In that first matchup (back on May 12th), Skenes tossed eight shutout innings of two-hit ball with 10 strikeouts. The Pirates lineup tends to score far less on the road than they do at home, but I do expect them to do plenty of damage here against Rockies starting pitcher Tomoyuki Sugano (5.26 FIP) and a bullpen that has the highest ERA in the National League (5.13).

We really like the under in this matchup. Following Boston’s 6-2 victory in the opener, both teams field exceptionally strong arms that favor a quiet night for the scoreboard. The Mariners hand the ball to RHP Emerson Hancock (5-3, 3.28), who has been highly reliable at limiting base traffic this season, and a sluggish Boston offense has struggled heavily to generate power away from home, ranking 29th in MLB with just 3.9 runs scored per game. The Red Sox counter with LHP Connelly Early (5-5, 3.81). Early has shown fantastic poise in his rookie campaign, and catches a major break against a cold Seattle lineup that is batting just .209 over its last ten games.
