| NBA | (551) Chicago Bulls at (552) Atlanta Hawks | 7:40pm EST - Dec 23/2025 |
The PLAY: Chicago Bulls +4 (-106)
First one to 160 points wins. Neither the Bulls, nor the Hawks, play any semblance of defense. That was evident this past Sunday when the Bulls defeated Atlanta, 152-150, as a two-point road favorite.
Now the teams are playing again in Atlanta. Yet the Hawks are favored this time. I don't get that.
Chicago is the much hotter team with four wins in its last five games, including three victories in a row. The Hawks are 1-4 in their last five games and have lost three consecutive games.
Trae Young and Jalen Johnson combined for 71 points shooting a combined 22-for-36 from the floor against the Bulls and Atlanta still lost. The Hawks also had Dyson Daniels for that game. He is perhaps Atlanta's best perimeter defender. Daniels is out here due to right hip inflammation.
The Hawk haven't impressed at home all season going 5-8. The Bulls showed they had the better bench with nine players scoring in double figures in Sunday's victory.
So what if Atlanta has a quick revenge spot. The Hawks haven't played well at home, are not playing well now and score fewer points per game than the Bulls.
I'll grab the points with Chicago.
