The PLAY: Indiana Pacers -170
2% Indiana ML (7:10 ET): Obviously, 2025-26 is destined to be a “lost season” for the Pacers after Tyrese Halliburton suffered that devastating knee injury in Game 7 of the NBA Finals. That said, things got off to a worse start than even the most pessimistic projection as the team lost 13 of its first 14 games. But now, aside from Haliburton, the Pacers are as healthy as they’ve been all season and we’re starting to see some improvement. They’ve won three of their last five games overall, beating Chicago twice, including 120-105 Friday night for the first away win of the season. For a number of reasons, tonight I look for the Pacers to win B2B games for just the second time.
They’re back home, which is where four of the five wins this season have come. Two of their biggest wins (in terms of margin) came against Charlotte (by 9) and Washington (by 33) here at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Those are obviously two bad teams. Well, Sacramento is also most definitely a bad team and that’s who comes calling tonight. The Kings, like Indiana, are off a win here. They surprised Miami on Saturday, winning 127-111 as 8.5-point road underdogs, thanks to leading scorer Zach LaVine going for a season-high 42 points (including 8 of 13 shooting from three).
But I do not see LaVine shooting that well again tonight. Last Wednesday, he was held to a season-low to points by Houston. As a team, the Kings had gone 0-4 SU and ATS their L4 games before beating the Heat. LaVine figures to be defended by Andrew Nembhard, who just held Chicago’s Josh Giddey to nine points on 2 of 9 shooting, leading HC Rick Carlisle to call him “one of the best defenders in the world.” Offensively, Pascal Siakam has averaged 26.6 points in the L5 games. Since I missed the best of the number, we’ll just play Pacers ML for a smaller amount. Sacramento has not won B2B games in regulation all season and is still w/o Domantas Sabonis. 2% Indiana ML (Play to -200)
