Saturday's Divisional Round opener between the Bills and the Broncos is priced in the pick 'em range. I agree that it'll be a close game, but I fully expect to see Josh Allen and the Bills prevail. Give me Buffalo on the moneyline at -102.
The Bills have dominated this series in recent history, going 8-1 ATS in the last nine meetings, as well as 4-1 SU in the last five head-to-head matchups. Buffalo is in the midst of a 6-1 SU stretch, where they've out-scored the opposition by an average of 28.1-19.6. This battle really comes down to Buffalo's offense vs. Denver's defense. The lofty payout may be due to the fact that Kaner was relegated to Detroit's second power-play group. However, considering the matchup against this bottom-tier San Jose defense, I still think the +164 payout is worth a flier. Kane, who has helpers in two of his last three games, will be navigating a Sharks' defense that's 30th in GA/60 minutes (3.49) and 21st in SV% (.885). Their penalty-killing unit is just 24th (77.24%), and the Sharks are also entering on the second night of a back-to-back. Patrick Kane, who's still linemates with a certified goalscorer in Alex DeBrincat, should have a few quality chances to pick up an apple. Give me Kane for 1+ assists.
