The bottom line is that these are two of the worst offensive teams in the NHL this season. The Blackhawks rank 30th in G/60 minutes (2.53), while the Rangers are 26th (2.73). New York does boast a respectable power-play group, but they'll be taking on Chicago's top-ranked penalty kill (84.79%) on Friday night. With two struggling offenses that rank 25th or worse in high-danger SOG this season, I think it's best to play the under while the total is in the 6.0- to 6.5-goal range.
