| NBA | (533) Chicago Bulls at (534) Washington Wizards: Total | 7:10pm EDT - Apr 7/2026 |
The PLAY: Total Over 248.5 (-110)
To paraphrase now-retired Ralph Lawler, the Clippers’ longtime great play-by-play man, “First team to record a defensive stop wins!”
Appropriate, perhaps, as neither the Bulls nor the Wizards have bothered much with the nuances of defense after both long ago having punted on the season (though Chicago a bit more recently, at the trade deadline; Washington has given the appearance of tanking sicne November). Both have long since stopped playing anything resembling defense, with the Bulls surrendering nearly 135 pg their past seven, the Wiz almost 134 pg their past six, including back-to-back games conceding 150+. Neither has won a game in two weeks, either. Chicago also seems to have already started its offseason housecleaning in the front office, with VP Arturas Karnosovas and GM Mark Eversley walking the plank on Monday (though HC Billy Donovan’s rumored escape route to North Carolina has now been closed by the Heels’ Michael Malone hire on Monday).
For those who enjoy the NBA’s version of gallows humor, these two will do it again on Thursday night at Cap One Arena. We use "over" 248.5, noting the overnights are as high as 249.5, and we'd be prepared to go up to 252.5 with the "over" before steering clear on this one. Play Bulls-Wizards "Over"
