| SOC | (200325) Millwall at (200326) Stoke City: 3-Way Moneyline | 2:45pm EDT - Apr 21/2026 |
The PLAY: Millwall -101
3% Millwall (2:45 ET): I like the 3-way price here on Millwall, who would vault back up into second place in the EFL Championship (temporarily) with a win. Coventry City has already claimed one of the two automatic promotion spots. Ipswich Town are odds on favorite to claim the second - due to having played one fewer match - but it’s still a close four-team race, meaning Millwall doesn’t want to drop points here. They are coming off an impressive 2-0 win against Queens Park Rangers over the weekend. While just their second win in the last six league matches, prior to that Millwall had won six of seven. Alex Neil’s side remain unbeaten in their last seven away and are tied (with Coventry and Middlesbrough) for the most away points in the league.
Now we need a win by Millwall on Tuesday. Fortunately, they’ll be facing a Stoke City side that has little left to play for this season. The Potters are 17th in table, nowhere close to the promotion fight, but also well clear of the relegation threat. While unbeaten in the last six here at home (three wins and three draws), Stoke have failed to win any of the last four matches overall, including a 2-0 loss at Wrexham over the weekend. That was their second straight 2-0 loss to a team in the promotion fight as I faded them on April 6th at Derby County. In fact, Stoke’s lone win over the last five league matches came against an atrocious Sheffield Wednesday side that is already relegation-bound.
Even if they fail to finish second and gain automatic promotion to the EPL, third place would not be bad for Millwall. They’d still be alive for promotion via the playoff and would likely avoid both Southampton and Middlesbrough in the semi-final. But the bottom line here is that they need to continue winning. Can’t say the same right now about Stoke City, who are safely “on the beach” and dealing with injuries to key defenders. Generally speaking we want to fade these sides with nothing to play for down the stretch. Head to head history is also clearly in Millwall's favor in this fixture. They’ve won five of the last seven against Stoke, including 2-0 in the reverse back in October, and lost only one of the last 14. 3% Millwall (Play to -120)
