The PLAY: Chicago Cubs -1.5 (126) Action
Rob Thomson is getting desperate with the Phils and why not, as the losing streak reached seven in last night's 7-4 loss at Wrigley Field. With his offense misfiring and his starting pitchers getting shell-shocked, Thomson apparently will go the bullpen route tonight with reliever Kyle Backhus the expected opener in hopes of ending the current seven-game skid. Will it work?
Meanwhile the Cubs are as hot as the Phils are cold, winning seven straight, and Matthew Boyd returns to active duty on the mound after missing the past three weeks with a biceps strain. Play Cubs on Run Line
