| MLB | (959) Los Angeles Dodgers at (960) St. Louis Cardinals: Moneyline | 7:15pm EDT - May 2/2026 |
The PLAY: Los Angeles Dodgers -140 Action
Seems like a pretty "square" call, but the Dodgers should beat the Cardinals tonight. I was surprised they didn't last night (lost the series opener 7-2). Not a believer in St. Louis, despite their five straight wins. Their pitching staff has allowed the 7th most runs in all of baseball. That's eventually going to be a problem, facing this LA lineup.
Meanwhile, buying low on Dodger Blue after three straight losses where they scored a combined five runs seems like a good idea. After all, this team is still fourth overall in runs per game this season (including #1 on the road). The three straight losses are also a season-high. So it's only "a matter of time" before the reigning World Series Champs getting going again.
I realize that starter Roki Sasaki has been pretty awful so far this season (6.35 ERA and 7.19 FIP). But he's allowed three runs or less in three of his five outings and the Dodgers actually won the other two. For St. Louis, Saturday starter Michael McGreevy has overachieved. His xERA (6.16) sits more than three full points higher than his actual ERA (2.97).
Don't miss my 5% MAX BET tonight in the NBA!

| SOC | (200261) Stoke City at (200262) Bristol City: Team Total | 7:30am EDT - May 2/2026 |
The PLAY: Bristol City Total Over 1.5 (-127)
Despite no victories, Bristol City have managed to score a total of five goals over the last three weeks. I think they'll be able to find the back of the net at least twice in the final match of the season on Saturday as they host Stoke City in what should be a freewheeling battle of mid-table sides with nothing at stake.
Saturday could be the final time we see Roy Hodgson managing Bristol City. He took over midseason and has steadied the ship somewhat. Whether or not the 78-year old officially retires after the season, one would assume his players will want to send him out a winner. So, at the very least, there should be a motivation in front of the goal.
I know that Stoke City is tied for the second fewest away goals in the league this season. But I prefer betting Bristol City Over 1.5 goals to the 3-way line simply because the Robins have conceded eight times in the last three matches. I'd rather not worry about how many times the visitors find the back of the net here. I certainly don't see this being a 1-0 win for the home side.
