| WNBA | (601) Washington Mystics at (602) Toronto Tempo | 7:30pm EDT - May 8/2026 |
The PLAY: Washington Mystics -115
Toronto has two good players in Marina Mabrey and Brittney Sykes along with an experienced, well-respected coach in Sandy Brondello.
But the Mystics have some excellent young players with highly touted rookie center Lauren Betts joining Shakira Austin and second-year star players Sonia Citron and Kiki Iriafen.
Not only do the Mystics have more firepower than the Tempo, but they should dominate the boards. Washington has a height advantage. Toronto has frontcourt injuries with Isabelle Harrison out with a hand injury and Nyara Sabally questionable.
Toronto went 0-2 in preseason. The Tempo lost, 83-78, to Connecticut - who projects to be one of the worst teams in the league - and to Minnesota, 73-66.
(Editor's note: Stephen Nover is 27-14-1 on his WNBA May plays the past three seasons and has beaten the WNBA in five of six seasons. He has a premium WNBA play along with his top season prop today in addition to this free selection.)
