| WNBA | (649) Golden State Valkyries at (650) Las Vegas Aces: Spread | 3:00pm EDT - Jun 6/2026 |
The PLAY: Las Vegas Aces -3.0 (-110)
The defending champs haven't been as dominant as they were in the playoffs thus far, winning six of nine but holding just a 4.1-point differential. This line is too good to pass up, however. The Aces are 3rd in the WNBA in scoring and 2nd in field goal shooting. They are also 3rd in total rebounds and 2nd in field-goal defense. They'll be challenged on the perimeter by the long-range shooting of the Valkyries, but the veteran team will be up for the challenge. I'm riding the champs with a very modest line.
Take the Aces -3.5

| WNBA | (643) Phoenix Mercury at (644) Portland Fire: Spread | 10:00pm EDT - Jun 5/2026 |
The PLAY: Portland Fire +1.5 (-105)
The expansion Fire take on the struggling Mercury on Friday night at home. Portland is a respectable 3-2 in their last five games and are 5-6 ATS this season. The Mercury have lost four of five games and a dismal 3-8 ATS this season. Portland's ability to shoot from the perimeter will be the difference. The Fire are fifth in the league in 3pt shooting, and face a Mercury team that is last in 3pt defense. That will carry the night.
Take Portland +1.5

| MLB | (959) New York Mets at (960) San Diego Padres: Moneyline | 9:40pm EDT - Jun 5/2026 |
The PLAY: San Diego Padres -126 Action
The Mets have been a major disappointment this season. The Padres, a favorite to earn a playoff spot as well, have lost five straight and nine of ten. Something has to give on Friday night in San Diego. The Mets will be doing the giving. The Padres go with veteran righty Michael King. He is 2-0 at home this season with a 3.79 ERA. The Padres have also won three of King's last five starts. He has allowed a total of four runs in his last three starts. That will be more than enough for an anemic Mets' lineup that is 30th in baseball in slugging.
Take the Padres with the money line.
