The PLAY: Philadelphia Phillies -163 Tyler Mahle (RHP), Jesus Luzardo (LHP) Must Start
Laying this price with the team that has - by far- the worst run differential in all of baseball (-54) doesn't seem very fun. But I can assure you it's justified. Also, you can probably expect the Phillies to come out with some fire after manager Rob Thomson was fired earlier today.
One week ago, I went on a nice rant about how the Phillies should not have been favored at Wrigley Field. Well, now they're back home and facing a Giants team that's starting Tyler Mahle, who has a 5.26 ERA while allowing 2.1 home runs and 4.9 walks per nine innings. The Philly bats should wake up tonight.
But, more than anything, this is a buy low spot on Phils' starter Jesus Luzardo. The breakout star of the Phillies' rotation last year, Luzardo has been doomed by bad luck in the early portion of 2026. Eleven of the 33 hits he's surrendered this season have come with RISP. All five HRs allowed have come with men on base.
Incredibly, Luzardo comes into Tuesday sporting only a 54% strand rate, which is just absurd. But I like the matchup for him tonight, facing a Giants lineup that has scored the second fewest number of runs in all of MLB.

A consistent winner since first emerging on the scene back in 2011, Power didn't have a single losing calendar year in his first decade as a pro handicapper! In April & May of this year (2022), he went on an amazing 154-99-2 (+$41,322) with all plays!
Power handicaps football (both NFL and college), basketball (NBA and college), MLB, Soccer (most major European leagues), and the UFC. He uses a personal set of power ratings, combined with situational handicapping, to make his selections. Multiple bets per day across multiple sports are the norm.
