If you're looking to get in on the NHL action Tuesday, I've got you covered with this free play. I'll take the Panthers at a pick 'em price. Neither team is in great form, but I simply think that Florida is in a better position to break out of their slump. They'll take on a New Jersey side that is just 1-5-0 in its last six games.
For as rough as things have gone for the Cats this season, the underlying metrics suggest they're a much better team. The Panthers are eighth in the NHL in xGoals% (51.67%) and fifth in Corsi% (53.27%). They've won five of their last six meetings against the Devils in New Jersey, and this feels like a must-win spot for the Panthers if they want to stay in playoff contention. They continue to get key assets back, and I expect them to take care of business against this Devils side that's dead last in both G/60 minutes (2.44) and shooting% (8.4%) this year.
